Shown below is a map of the Palominas
Fire District.
For a map of the Palominas School District, which
entails a much larger area (192 square miles) for the three local schools, I am
providing a link that will open the map on a new page. The map file is
rather large (about 160Kb), so it may take a minute or so to load, depending on
your connection speed. I made it as small as possible while still
retaining detail. You can load this school district map by clicking

PALOMINAS FIRE DISTRICT MAP

For example, here is an 'unofficial', but
pretty close, map of the Palominas Fire District
boundaries (the colored
area), which defines our community borders. At the bottom is
the U.S. - Mexico border. This area encompasses approximately 70 square
miles, which
is equivalent to 44,800 acres! And gee, Jean & I own 1/5600 of
this beautiful landscape! |
